Senior Ashanti Police Officers donate GHS80K to KATH revamp project

Senior Police officers from the Ashanti region have donated GHS80,000 towards the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) revamping project, spearheaded by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The donation was made on behalf of her colleague officers by Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, Executive Director of the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO).
Speaking at Manhyia during the donation, Maame Tiwaa explained that Ashanti officers within the Police Service chose to come together to support the project.
She mentioned that the amount raised was their current contribution and promised to donate more in the near future.
Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II launched the fundraising drive with a goal of mobilizing $10 million for the renovation of the 70-year-old KATH facility.
The initiative aims to comprehensively renovate the hospital as one of the legacy projects of the Asantehene, marking his 25 years on the golden stool.
