Zoomlion denies allegations of engaging landguards, reaffirms commitment to lawful operations

Zoomlion Ghana Limited has strongly refuted allegations linking the company to the use of landguards in a property destruction incident involving Turkish investors, as reported by the Daily Guide newspaper on Monday, April 7, 2025.
In a statement issued by its Communications Directorate, the waste management giant described the claims as “misleading and unjustifiable,” stressing that Zoomlion neither employs nor contracts the services of landguards for any purpose.
“Zoomlion Ghana Limited does not employ, contract, or engage the services of landguards, nor is it involved in any unlawful or outlawed activities.
The company operates in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana and remains committed to ethical business practices,” the statement read.
The company, which has built a reputation through partnerships with numerous international organizations and reputable foreign firms, expressed disappointment over attempts to associate its name with acts of violence and illegality.
“We unequivocally deny these allegations. We further advise that any grievances or concerns be addressed through the appropriate legal channels, in accordance with the rule of law,” Zoomlion stated.
Reaffirming its commitment to integrity and professionalism, the company assured stakeholders and the public that it remains focused on contributing to sustainable national development through lawful operations.
Zoomlion also emphasized its respect for Ghana’s judicial system and expressed its full support for legal processes in the resolution of disputes.
The company urged the public to disregard the “unfounded” allegations and reiterated its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accountability and responsibility in its operations
