Archbishop Duncan-Williams, Lady Rosa host dinner for Mercy Ships delegation

Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams and his wife, Lady Rosa Whitaker, former Chair of Mercy Ships’ International Board, have hosted a dinner in honour of Dame Ann Gloag, leader of the visiting Mercy Ships delegation in Ghana.
The delegation, which earlier paid courtesy calls on Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh and First Lady Lordina Mahama, is in the country ahead of Mercy Ships’ 11-month medical mission scheduled to begin in August 2026.
The mission will be undertaken in partnership with the Ghana Medical Trust Fund.
At the event, Dame Ann Gloag shared her personal journey into humanitarian service, emphasising the values that inspired her commitment to global healthcare.
She highlighted Mercy Ships’ mission of combining medical excellence with capacity building to ensure that each intervention leaves a lasting impact.
The dinner brought together key stakeholders from Ghana’s health sector in what was described as both a celebration of leadership and a reaffirmation of collective efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery.
Organisers noted that the gathering underscored the importance of partnership in expanding access to quality healthcare and delivering sustainable hope and healing to communities across the country.
