COVID-19: “Make nose mask wearing your habit”

The Head of Nursing at the Eastern Regional Hospital, Mrs Philomena Mireku has advised residents of Koforidua and its environs to make the wearing of nose masks their habit so they can stay safe from COVID-19.
Mrs Mireku indicated that cases of COVID-19 were gradually increasing and that they have the responsibility to take precautions against the disease by their own shelves.
Currently, the Eastern Region has recorded a total of 299 cases.
Out of the data, New Juaben South, which has Koforidua as its capital, has recorded 46 confirmed cases.
Speaking to Class News after receiving a donation of assorted items including PPE, veronica buckets, hand sanitisers among others from Allianz Life Insurance Company, Mrs Mireku urged the people of Koforidua to endeavour to observe all the protocols.
The Sales Manager of Allianz, Koforidua branch, Mr Amos Akrofi, for his part, assured the treatment centre at the Eastern Regional Hospital and others across the country, of its continuous support.
Meanwhile, the wearing of nose masks in public is now mandatory in the country.
