Ghana Medical Trust Fund supports successful treatment of midwife in pilot phase
One of the beneficiaries of the pilot phase of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, Rebecca Odarquaye, has made a remarkable recovery and has been declared out of danger following a successful medical procedure.
Rebecca, a midwife by profession, was among the first 50 cases supported under the pilot phase of the initiative, ahead of its full rollout scheduled for April.
The Administrator of the Fund, Adwoa Oboubia Darko Opoku, paid her a visit before her discharge to wish her well as she returned home to continue her recovery.
Medical sources indicated that Rebecca’s condition has significantly improved, and she is expected to resume her duties at the labour ward in the near future.
The Ghana Medical Trust Fund expressed appreciation to the Chief Executive Officer of Euracare Spring Hospital, Dr. Daniel Asare; the Medical Director, Professor Benjamin Sarkodie, who performed the surgery; as well as hospital management and the entire surgical team for their support and professionalism throughout the process.
The successful treatment is being hailed as a positive outcome of the Trust Fund’s pilot phase, reinforcing its mission to provide critical medical support and improve access to quality healthcare for Ghanaians.
The Ghana Medical Trust Fund says it remains committed to offering care that transforms lives.
