Ghana signs landmark deal with Grenada to recruit Ghanaian nurses
The Government of Ghana has entered into a landmark agreement with the Government of Grenada to deploy qualified Ghanaian nurses to the Caribbean nation in support of its health sector.
The initiative forms part of Ghana’s International Health Workforce Exchange Programme, designed to create professional opportunities abroad for Ghanaian health workers while strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
In a public notice, the Ministry of Health (MoH) invited experienced, dynamic, and committed registered nurses to apply for positions in Grenada across five key specialisations:
Critical Care Nursing
Accident and Emergency Nursing
Infectious Disease Nursing
Public Health Nursing
General Nursing
According to the Ministry, applicants must satisfy all regulatory requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana and have a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in their respective fields.
Application RequirementsInterested candidates are required to submit:
Certified copies of academic and professional certificates
Proof of good standing from the Nursing and Midwifery Council
Police criminal clearance certificate
Valid passport (with at least two years’ validity)
Two recent passport-sized photographs
Updated curriculum vitae
Two reference letters (dated within the last six months)
Any other relevant supporting documents
Application ProcessThe application period opens Friday, October 24, 2025, and closes Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
Submissions are to be made through the official Ministry of Health recruitment portal at https://hr.moh.gov.gh or via email at [email protected].
The Ministry stated that shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interviews and must present original documents and certified copies for verification.
It also cautioned that incomplete or unsuitable applications will not be acknowledged.
The agreement is expected to deepen Ghana–Grenada relations while showcasing Ghana’s globally respected nursing workforce on the international stage.
