Gov't inaugurates two new NHIS offices in Western North Region
The Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority(NHIA), Dr Dacosta Aboagye on behalf of the Government has commissioned an ultramodern office complex to serve the people of JuabosoSuaman district in the Western North region.
Handing over the edifice to the Scheme,Dr Dacosta Aboagye, emphasized the need to draw the services of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) closer to the people and reiterated the importance of operating in an enabling environment such as the newly commissioned offices.
He charged staff and other stakeholders to show a consistent sense of maintenance in their usage of the facility.
He acknowledged the efforts of key individuals including traditional authorities who through their immense contributions have made it possible to complete the construction of these two ultra-modern edifices to serve their local communities.
The new NHIS offices will offer services to offer access to healthcare and address members' needs in the two catchment areas.
The NHIA CEO,Dr Dacosta Aboagye, reaffirmed his dedication to ensuring that the scheme remains viable by facilitating access to healthcare to all Ghanaians.
Dr. Alexander Ampaabeng, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) 2024 Parliamentary Candidate for the Juaboso constituency in the Western North thanked the Authority for giving the municipality a befitting office.
He then made a request for support from the residents, stakeholders, and opinion leaders in order for the Scheme to operate smoothly.
He further expressed management’s resolve to ensure that all NHIA offices across the country have befitting office complexes to enhance their work and boost the corporate image of the NHIA.
Recounting the technological advancements that has contributed to the smooth running of the Scheme, the NHIA CEO lauded the introduction of the MyNHIS App into the NHIS operations, highlighting that its convenience and accessibility is unmatched.
He urged all smart phones users within the district to explore the usage of the App in their quest for NHIS services to register and renew.
He said the Authority has moved away from the days of over one year indebtedness to its current monthly disbursements to service providers.
