Korle Bu Teaching Hospital suspends acceptance of fresh bodies
The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) in the Greater Accra Region has announced a six-week suspension on accepting fresh bodies and Brought-in-Dead (BID) cases as it refurbishes its cold room facilities.
In a statement, management explained that the renovation aims to improve service delivery.
This restriction does not apply to cases originating from the Korle- Bu Teaching Hospital itself.
Bereaved families whose relatives have been in the mortuary for three to six weeks or longer are urged to make immediate arrangements for burial or transfer to alternative facilities.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your cooperation as we work to enhance our services,” the statement added.
