MoH denies $34.9 million payment allegations in ambulance spare parts deal

The Ministry of Health has denied allegations of paying $34.9 million to Ghana Auto Group Limited for spare parts, as claimed by North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
The accusations suggest a collusion between former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, former Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, and the private company to defraud the state.
In a statement dated July 25, the Ministry clarified that no such payment was made and expressed readiness to support efforts to bring clarity to the issue.
They emphasised that all transaction documentation is public and reaffirmed their commitment to a sustainable maintenance regime for the National Ambulance Service fleet.
