V/R: Ho Teaching Hospital opens meditation garden, music therapy studio
The Ho Teaching Hospital (HTH) has officially commissioned its Meditation Garden and Music Therapy Studio in a grand opening ceremony to enhance its wellness tourism offerings.
The facility, located at the HTH Annex at Kpogadzi along the Ho-Kpetoe road, was designed to offer clients, staff, and visitors a serene space for mental and emotional healing through guided meditation and therapeutic music, aligning with HTH's holistic approach to healthcare under the Hospital's Medical Tourism project.
The ceremony was graced by dignitaries, including diplomats who experienced the facility firsthand.
The distinguished guests included Amb Jean Natho Dore, Ambassador of Guinea to Ghana; Mr Abdul Aziz Diallo, First Counsellor for Economic Affairs at the Guinea Embassy; Amb Awoki Panassa, High Commissioner of Togo to Ghana; Amb Dayo Adeoye, Acting Nigeria High Commissioner; Mrs Julia Ekeoma, Social Secretary to the High Commissioner; and Mr Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, Consultant for Volta Fair 2025.
During the event, the attendees were taken through thorough preventive health check ups, meditation sessions, physiotherapy activities, and music therapy led by clinical psychologists.
The facility aims to complement clinical treatments by reducing stress, alleviating anxiety, and promoting overall psychological well-being for clients undergoing recovery, as well as offering a wellness retreat and vacation for overburdened clients.

This innovative project underscores HTH's commitment to advancing comprehensive, patient-centered care that addresses both physical and mental health.
The Meditation Garden and Music Therapy Studio are set to become a cornerstone of the hospital’s therapeutic environment, fostering resilience and healing.
Amb Awoki Panassa, Dean of the diplomats, said the experience was "worth undertaking" and encouraged the public to take full advantage of the facility.
Mr Edmund Tsogbe, Director of Human Resources, HTH, who represented the CEO, affirmed the hospital's ambition to be Ghana’s premier nedical tourism destination.
Mr Anthony Bells Kafui Kanyi, Medical Tourism Coordinator for the Hospital, announced plans to host quarterly wellness retreat and vacation for corporates and individuals from next year.
