2025 Budget: Oppong Nkrumah warns of government's 'misplaced priorities'
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, former Information, and Works & Housing Minister, has asserted the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government's economic policy is not the answer to pressing issues such as cost of living challenges, unemployment, investment in infrastructure, and education.
Oppong Nkrumah said the government had misplaced its priorities, leaving citizens to bear the brunt of these unaddressed challenges.
He cautioned those expecting a reduction in electricity bills will be disappointed, noting electricity prices would be adjusted quarterly.
The MP for Ofoase Ayirebi, his comments came after the Finance Minister, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, presented the 2025 Budget, March 11, which forecast a 4.4 percent inflation-adjusted GDP growth for the country.
Considering the 2025 Budget, he said it lacked credibility.
