President Nana Akufo-Addo and his Ivorian counterpart, Alassane Ouattara are expected to jointly inaugurate the headquarters housing the Côte d'Ivoire-Ghana Cocoa Initiative Secretariat in Accra today Thursday, 18th April, 2024.

The Côte d'Ivoire-Ghana Cocoa Initiative is to give full meaning to the Abidjan Declaration of 26 March 2018, in which the Presidents of Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana reaffirmed their willingness to define a common sustainable cocoa strategy, with a view to increasing the prices received by cocoa farmers in their respective countries in a sustainable way.

Ahead of the inauguration of the Headquarters of the Côte d'Ivoire-Ghana Cocoa Initiative, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on Wednesday, 17 April 2024, hosted Robert Beugré Mambé, Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire, at the Jubilee House.

The two dignitaries had mutually beneficial discussions on the ongoing cooperation between the two countries, especially in the area of cocoa production.
