Former Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Member of Parliament for Damongo Constituency in the Savannah Region, Samuel Abu Jinapor, has delivered a heartfelt eulogy for the late Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, Alhaji Limuna Mohammed Muniru, extolling him as a distinguished public servant and a cherished uncle.

On Friday, August 8, 2025, Mr. Jinapor extended his condolences to the people of Damongo and Gonjaland, lauding the late Alhaji Muniru’s contributions to the nation and encouraging the youth to follow his example of dedication and compassion.

He noted Alhaji Muniru’s remarkable career trajectory, saying, “He is a very distinguished public servant.

He started from the Ministry of Health as a director, joined the Hajj Board at a point, and then became a minister of state under President Mahama, and held other significant positions in the country.”

The Damongo MP reflected on personal moments shared with Alhaji Muniru, underscoring their decades-long family ties.

"As a teenager, I remember my mother approaching him for help with my grandmother's Hajj attendance.

I saw his humane side and his devotion to Gonjaland and northern Ghana," he added.

Although they came from different political backgrounds, Mr. Jinapor stressed their mutual respect and cordial relationship.

"I would often tease him about almost taking the seat from me in 2024, and we would all laugh.

Indeed, our relationship was built on mutual respect," he said.

He also disclosed that just two weeks before his passing, Alhaji Muniru had visited him in his office with his son for a detailed discussion on matters of importance
