The Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, held an interactive session with queen mothers from the Sunyani West Constituency on Wednesday as part of her campaign tour of the Bono Region.
The meeting, which took place at Odumase, brought together a large number of queen mothers from across the constituency.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang reaffirmed her dedication to advancing women’s empowerment, emphasizing the importance of governments playing a proactive role in uplifting women.
She highlighted the NDC’s focus on promoting girls' education, noting that special attention would be given to ensuring that more girls complete their studies.
She also outlined various NDC policies aimed at empowering women and urged the queen mothers to support the party’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, in the upcoming December 7 election.
The queen mothers praised Prof. Opoku-Agyemang for her long-standing commitment to women’s issues, expressing confidence that she would become Ghana’s first female Vice President.
