Chief of Staff calls for confidence in Mahama’s leadership

Julius Debrah, the newly appointed Chief of Staff, has called on Ghanaians to place their trust in President John Dramani Mahama’s leadership, assuring the nation of his commitment to delivering on campaign promises.
Speaking at the inauguration of President Mahama at the Black Star Square in Accra on January 7, 2025, Debrah pledged that the new administration would focus on revitalizing the economy and improving the lives of all citizens.
“Basically, I want to give everybody hope—it’s hope, hope, and the question is, is it possible? Yes, it’s possible when you have the right people who are determined to make things happen,” Debrah affirmed, highlighting the administration’s readiness to tackle the nation’s challenges head-on.
Debrah underscored the importance of teamwork, accountability, and effective leadership in achieving the government’s ambitious goals for economic growth, job creation, and enhanced living standards.
Reflecting on Mahama’s leadership style, he added, “When we were in office, almost every week, each minister was required to report to him personally.
He would engage directly, asking about progress on assignments and ensuring tasks were on track.
I believe this hands-on approach will continue, ensuring accountability and steady progress.”
Debrah’s remarks set the tone for the Mahama administration’s vision of inclusive and responsive governance, fostering hope among Ghanaians as the new government begins its tenure.
