Christian Council delegation calls on Bawumia after NPP flagbearer election
Former Vice President and 2028 presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has received a delegation from the Christian Council of Ghana following his election as the party’s flagbearer.
The delegation, led by Rev. Enoch Nii Narh Thompson, paid a courtesy call on Dr. Bawumia to convey their goodwill and offer prayers after his emergence as the New Patriotic Party’s presidential candidate for the 2028 general elections.
Dr. Bawumia expressed gratitude to the Council for the visit, describing their prayers and encouragement as deeply appreciated.
He reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with faith-based institutions in advancing national development.
The former Vice President noted that collaboration between political leadership and religious bodies remains essential in promoting unity, moral leadership, and inclusive growth in Ghana.
