Clash of prophecies: Two renowned prophets predict different outcomes for NPP’s 2028 flagbearer race

Two prominent Ghanaian prophets have stirred national political discourse with contrasting prophecies regarding who will emerge as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) next flagbearer ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Prophet Emmanuel Worlasi, Head Pastor of Conquerors Chapel, Kumasi Branch, and Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun, Senior Pastor of Spiritlife Revival Ministries, have both delivered detailed spiritual visions concerning the future leadership of the NPP — but with differing conclusions.

Prophet Worlasi Sees Bawumia Victorious Again

In a prophetic vision, Prophet Worlasi revealed that he saw Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia once again securing the NPP flagbearer position in the next primary.

According to him, the vision was revealed by an angel who has consistently shown him future events over the past nine years — prophecies he claims have come to pass, including notable global and national incidents such as the deaths of Pope Benedict and Queen Elizabeth II, coups in Africa, and Ghana’s recent elections.

He described seeing both Dr. Bawumia and Kennedy Agyapong being followed by large crowds wearing their campaign shirts.

Surprisingly, during the actual vote in the vision, many supporters of Kennedy Agyapong removed their shirts to reveal Bawumia’s underneath — symbolising a secret preference for the former Vice President.

“I asked the angel what this meant, and he explained that though some party leaders had switched allegiance to Kennedy Agyapong, many delegates were influenced to appear supportive but made their true choice in the ballot box,” Prophet Worlasi stated.

He concluded his message with a cautionary reminder: “We see in part, and we prophesy in part.”

Prophet ElBernard Predicts a Movement for Kennedy Agyapong

Offering a contrasting prophecy, Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun shared a vision in which  Kennedy Ohene Agyapong emerges as the NPP’s flagbearer.

He recounted being taken by an angel to witness elite political discussions, doubting Kennedy’s leadership potential.

However, the vision then shifted to a groundswell of support from the youth, rallying around Kennedy Agyapong’s bold message and leadership style.

According to Prophet ElBernard, these young people—passionate and visionary—will ignite a nationwide movement, drawing support from across the political divide and even from other parties.

Over time, the same elites who doubted Kennedy Agyapong’s potential would begin to rally behind him, recognising the momentum and grassroots backing he commands.

“In the final stages of the vision, I saw Kennedy Ohene Agyapong being declared as the flagbearer.

The angel told me, ‘Be content with what you have seen. More will be revealed in due time,’” he narrated.

Divergent Visions, Shared Uncertainty

The conflicting revelations from the two influential religious leaders have sparked debate among political watchers and the faithful.

While both prophets referenced angelic encounters and a spiritual view into the NPP’s future, each painted a different path toward the party’s next leadership decision.

Both concluded their messages by acknowledging the partial nature of prophecy — a biblical recognition that spiritual insight often comes in fragments.

As the NPP looks ahead to 2028, it remains to be seen whether the outcome will align with either prophecy or take an entirely different turn altogether.
