The Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has called on Ghanaians to prioritize experience over experimentation in the upcoming December 7 general elections.

According to her, former President John Dramani Mahama possesses the necessary experience to lead the country out of the difficulties caused by the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration.

Speaking to market women at the Koforidua Central Market on Wednesday during her campaign tour of the Eastern Region, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang stressed that Ghana is at a critical juncture.

She noted that it will take the seasoned leadership and vision of Mr. Mahama to steer the country through its current challenges and bring about the needed transformation.

She outlined key policies of the next NDC administration, including support for market women and traders through the proposed Women’s Development Bank.

She also highlighted initiatives such as the National Apprenticeship Programme, the Big Push infrastructure plan, and the 24-Hour Economy, which she said would create jobs for the youth and drive economic growth.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang urged the traders to cast their votes for Mr. Mahama in the December 7 elections, emphasizing the NDC's commitment to their welfare.

Additionally, she called on the Electoral Commission to ensure fairness and transparency in its dealings with all political parties, both before and after the elections, to maintain peace in the country.
