Dec. 7 : We'll resist any military intimdation during polls - Ofosu Ampofo
With just 16 days remaining until Ghana's 2024 general elections, Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the former National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has pledged the party’s determination to counter any attempts at military interference.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Osino, Fanteakwa South constituency, in the Eastern Region, Dr. Ofosu Ampofo accused the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of planning to use military forces to influence the polls, warning that the NDC would not be intimidated.
He assured supporters that the NDC is committed to safeguarding the integrity of the electoral process and vowed to protect the ballot at all costs.
Dr. Ofosu Ampofo also expressed confidence that the NDC would secure more parliamentary seats in the Eastern Region while increasing its presidential votes.
The former chairman highlighted the party’s unity going into the elections, stating that all internal issues have been resolved, giving the NDC a strong front as they approach election day.
