My Husband is honest, he has solutions to Ghana’s problems – Samira Bawumia
Samira Bawumia, the wife of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, has urged Ghanaians to support her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in his bid to become President in the upcoming December 7 general elections
Speaking at a book launch organised by her Samira Bawumia Literacy Prize initiative on Monday, 18 November 2024, in Accra, Mrs. Bawumia highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s integrity, intelligence, and adept problem-solving skills as vital attributes necessary for tackling Ghana’s current challenges and fulfilling the aspirations of the nation’s youth.
“He has solutions to our problems. Dr. Bawumia is a very intelligent man. He is an honest man. He works very hard and applies himself, and this is a man bursting with ideas and doesn’t always do the same things and expects different results,” Mrs. Bawumia remarked.
She lauded her husband’s innovative leadership style, emphasising his capacity to “think outside the box” and create avenues for swift national development.
“We need somebody who will leapfrog Ghana’s development. We need somebody who can look beyond where we are at and say, ‘Look, we can do better and we can do it in a faster way to get to where we are going,’” she indicated.
Mrs. Bawumia also highlighted the transformative impact of Dr. Bawumia’s digitalisation agenda, which she described as instrumental in reducing corruption and laying a solid foundation for sustained economic growth.
“Dr. Bawumia is a leader who confronts challenges with innovative ideas and a deep sense of responsibility,” she added, reinforcing her call for Ghanaians to back his vision for a more prosperous and efficient Ghana.
