Dr. Razak Kojo Opoku endorses Bryan Acheampong’s leadership vision

A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Razak Kojo Opoku, has praised former Food and Agriculture Minister Dr. Bryan Acheampong, describing him as a results-driven leader capable of delivering transformative change for Ghana.
Speaking on leadership and development, Dr. Opoku emphasised that “everything rises and falls on leadership,” adding that Dr. Acheampong has demonstrated readiness to provide quality leadership anchored on job creation, economic growth, and national security, adding that Dr Acheampong has the tenacity to lead the New Patriotic Party going into the 2028 general elections.
Outlining the pillars of Dr. Acheampong’s vision, he highlighted five key priority areas:
Job Creation – targeting opportunities for the unemployed and underemployed, especially the youth.
Economic Transformation – powered by agriculture, energy, technology, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Citing projections by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Goldman Sachs, Dr. Opoku noted that AI is expected to boost global GDP by up to $7 trillion in the next decade, with estimates suggesting annual growth between $17.1 trillion and $25.6 trillion.
Comprehensive Security – including food security, human security, demographic stability, environmental protection, political security, cybersecurity, national defence, and financial stability.
Infrastructure and Tourism – through infrastructural development and beautification of capital cities and tourist sites to enhance Ghana’s global appeal.
Healthcare and Education – with a focus on improving delivery systems to ensure accessible, high-quality services nationwide.
Dr. Opoku said these pillars demonstrate Dr. Acheampong’s capacity to provide “impactful leadership” that addresses Ghana’s most pressing challenges while positioning the country for sustainable growth and resilience.
