Ex-NPP Nasara Coordinator criticizes NDC's Said Sinare over campaign promises in Volta Region Zongos
Mazu Abdul Raman, the former Nasara Coordinator for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ketu North Constituency of the Volta Region, has expressed concerns about the campaign strategy of Ambassador Said Sinare, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Zongo Caucus Chairman.
In an interview with Classfmonline.com, Abdul Raman alleged that Said Sinare has been promising slots for the annual Mecca pilgrimage during his campaign visits to Zongo communities in the Volta Region.
He questioned the credibility of these promises, pointing out that Alhaji Sinare, during his tenure as Ghana’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, failed to facilitate a single pilgrimage for residents of the region.
“What did Alhaji Said Sinare do for the people of the Volta Region Zongos when he was Ambassador?
The people gained nothing under his tenure, yet he now goes around making promises,” Abdul Raman stated.
He contrasted Alhaji Sinare’s campaign with the NPP’s record, emphasizing that the NPP government has supported individuals from the region to embark on the holy pilgrimage to Mecca at no cost to them.
According to Abdul Raman, his campaign efforts in the Zongo communities focus on highlighting the tangible achievements of the NPP in the region.
He dismissed Ahaji Sinare’s promises as “political gimmicks,” adding, “The people of the Volta Zongos are wide awake and can see through these strategies.”
The NPP Nasara Coordinator urged the electorate to base their choices on proven performance rather than empty promises as the December 7 general elections approach.
