Felix Kwakye Ofosu assures Abura Asebu Kwamankese of accelerated development
The Member of Parliament for the Abura Asebu Kwamankese Constituency in the Central Region and Minister of Communication at the Presidency, Mr. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has assured chiefs and residents of his commitment to fulfil all campaign promises through the delivery of key development projects across the constituency.
Speaking at a sod-cutting ceremony for a major road construction project at Abura Dunkwa, the MP described the initiative as the beginning of a broader development agenda and urged constituents to remain confident in his leadership and that of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
“This is just the beginning. Have belief in me,”Mr. Kwakye Ofosu told residents, stressing that the poor state of roads in the constituency remains one of his top priorities.
He pledged that all major feeder roads within the constituency would be reconstructed within his four-year term in office.
He acknowledged the development challenges confronting the area, including deteriorated road networks, outdated health facilities and inadequate market infrastructure, but assured residents that swift steps would be taken to address them.
According to him, key hospitals in the constituency will be upgraded with modern medical equipment to improve healthcare delivery.
He also announced plans to construct a 24-hour economy market centre at Abura Dunkwa to enhance commercial activity and boost local trade.
The District Chief Executive for Abura Asebu Kwamankese, Mr. Daniel Mensah Wardy, reaffirmed the MP’s commitment to development, stating that the District Assembly will work closely with him to ensure the implementation of major projects across the area.
He described the constituency as fortunate to have Mr. Kwakye Ofosu as its MP and appealed to residents to continue supporting the government to fully benefit from upcoming development initiatives.
The Paramount Chief of the Abura Traditional Area, Emintsinminim Otu XI, also used the occasion to appeal to the government to address all deplorable roads within the district.
He urged the MP to prioritise any remaining road networks that may not yet have been captured in existing development plans to support the overall growth of the constituency.
