Former Buffer Stock CEO denies involvement in A-G's alleged corruption scandal

The former Chief Executive Officer of the National Food and Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO), Abdul-Wahab Hanan Aludiba, has strongly denied any involvement in the alleged corruption scandal currently under investigation by state authorities.
His response follows revelations made by the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, which reportedly link senior officials of the company to financial irregularities and procurement breaches.
In a statement issued on Tuesday on his Facebook wall, Mr. Aludiba described the allegations as “false, misleading, and politically motivated,” asserting that he had “no hand in any wrongdoing” during his tenure as CEO of the company.
“I categorically deny any involvement in acts of corruption or mismanagement at the National Food and Buffer Stock Company.
Every transaction and decision made under my leadership followed due process and adhered strictly to public financial management laws,” Mr. Aludiba stated.
He further urged the public to allow the relevant investigative bodies to carry out their work without prejudice, while expressing confidence that the truth will vindicate him.
“I am open to any lawful investigation and ready to cooperate fully with the authorities to clear my name.
I have nothing to hide,” he added.
The former CEO also called on the media and political actors to exercise restraint in their commentary on the issue, warning against attempts to “destroy reputations through unverified claims.”
The Attorney-General’s recent briefing to Parliament indicated that a number of procurement and financial irregularities had been uncovered at NAFCO, prompting further investigations into the company’s operations.
As the probe continues, stakeholders within the agricultural and food supply sectors are urging transparency and accountability to restore public confidence in the agency’s critical role in national food security.
The Ministry of Justice has yet to respond to Mr. Aludiba’s statement as of press time.
