GA/R: Teshie to benefit from 40.3km inner-city road construction – MP assures residents

Teshie and its surrounding communities in the Greater Accra Region are set to undergo a significant transformation with the construction of 40.3 kilometres of inner-city roads, Member of Parliament for the area, Benjamin Ayiku Narteh, has announced.
Addressing concerns from residents and commuters over the poor state of roads in the constituency, the MP for Ledzokuku Constituency expressed empathy and acknowledged the frustration caused by years of neglect.
He, however, assured the public that a long-awaited solution is finally in motion.
“As someone who shares in the daily struggles of my constituents, I am pleased to confirm that the government has approved the construction of over 40 kilometres of inner-city roads in Teshie,” he stated.
The road rehabilitation project will cover key areas including Marteye Tsuru, Demo, Camp Two, and several other communities within the municipality.
According to Mr. Ayiku Narteh, the initiative forms part of broader infrastructure development plans aimed at improving mobility, boosting local commerce, and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
He further urged residents to remain patient and cooperative as preparatory works begin, promising regular updates and community engagement throughout the project’s duration.
