Ghana’s Attorney hails US 250th Independence as global beacon of liberty
Ghana’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, has extended warm congratulations to the people and government of the United States on the occasion of their 250th Independence Anniversary.
Dr. Ayine described the celebration as far more than a national event, framing it as a powerful reminder of universal aspirations.
“Tonight’s celebration is not only about the USA. It is a reaffirmation of the peoples of the world in pursuit of liberty and happiness; the enduring values on which the United States was founded,” he stated.
The Attorney General praised the United States for its longstanding commitment to advancing global development through impactful social and economic initiatives.
He highlighted America’s role in championing programmes that promote democracy, economic empowerment, healthcare access, education, and poverty reduction across developing nations; efforts that continue to uplift millions worldwide.
Dr. Ayine’s message emphasizes the deep diplomatic and historical ties between Ghana and the United States, two nations that share a profound appreciation for democratic ideals and the pursuit of freedom.
As the US marks two and a half centuries since declaring independence in 1776, Ghana joins the international community in recognizing the enduring influence of American values on the global stage.
