Give us a more suitable Parliamentary candidate at Effutu Constituency – NDC member to Party

Politics
James Kofi Annan , NDC PC for Effutu

Daniel Kpamor, a student of the University of Education Winneba and member of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has raised serious concerns about Dr. James Kofi Annan's preparedness and effectiveness as the NDC’s Parliamentary candidate for the Effutu Constituency.

Daniel Kpamor in a petition has urged the NDC party leadership to take drastic measures.

“Despite this being his second attempt, Dr Annan has shown a troubling lack of understanding of local issues and has failed to present viable solutions or a coherent vision for the future the petition dated July 24, 2024 said.

“This inadequacy not only undermines the NDC's chances but also a disservice to the people of Effutu, who deserve a representative capable of addressing their needs,’ it added’.

The petition also criticised Dr. Annan's campaign strategy, describing it as lacklustre.

Master Kpamor notes the absence of dynamic and engaging outreach efforts, including poorly executed town hall meetings and community engagement sessions.

Dr Annan's failure to effectively use his radio station to the party's advantage is also highlighted as a missed opportunity.

Furthermore, his alleged divisive nature and inability to unify party members and local groups are seen as major hindrances to the campaign, the petitioner argues.

Given these concerns, Master Kpamor is calling on the NDC leadership to reconsider their choice of Parliamentary Candidate for Effutu.

He argues that the stakes are too high to risk having an unprepared and ineffective representative.

He emphasised the need for a candidate who understands local issues, is resourceful, and can connect with constituents,

Master Kpamor urged the party leadership to act swiftly to nominate a more suitable candidate
