I am committed to enhancing the local economy in all districts – Ahmed Ibrahim
The Local Government Minister-designate, Ahmed Ibrahim, has pledged to prioritise the improvement of local economies across all districts in the country.
Speaking on Tuesday, January 21, Mr Ibrahim assured that his efforts would align with President John Dramani Mahama’s vision of fostering inclusive economic growth and enhancing the livelihoods of citizens at the grassroots level.
“The prosperity of our nation begins with vibrant local economies. I am committed to ensuring that every district experiences tangible economic improvement,” he stated.
“This will be achieved by implementing policies that empower local businesses, promote job creation, and enhance infrastructure development.”
Mr Ibrahim emphasised that his ministry would work closely with stakeholders, including district assemblies, traditional authorities, and the private sector, to realise these goals.
“Collaborative efforts will be key to identifying the unique potential of each district and unlocking opportunities for economic development,” he explained.
He further reaffirmed his dedication to President Mahama’s broader agenda for national progress.
“My primary focus is to deliver on the President’s vision of equitable development and decentralised governance. Together, we will build resilient communities and uplift the living standards of our people,” Mr Ibrahim concluded.
