I 've a reserved seat on Council of State: Sophia Akuffo to critics

Former Chief Justice(CJ) Sophia Akuffo has expressed surprise at public reactions to her recent appointment as a Council of State member by President John Dramani Mahama.
Speaking on the matter, Justice Akuffo clarified that her appointment was in line with constitutional provisions that allocate a seat on the Council to former Chief Justices.
"I don't know why people are surprised about my appointment by President John Dramani Mahama as a Council of State Member.
I am a former Chief Justice, and a seat is allocated to former Chief Justices by our Constitution to be part of the Council of State," she stated.
Her remarks come amid ongoing discussions about the composition of the newly sworn-in 9th Council of State, which is expected to play a key advisory role in President Mahama’s administration.
