The Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has strongly condemned Reverend John Ntim Fordjour, the Ranking Member of the Defence and Interior Committee, for allegedly spreading false information regarding the landing of "suspicious aircraft" at Kotoka International Airport.

Minister Kwakye Ofosu accused Rev. Fordjour of deliberately misleading the public after the latter called for an urgent briefing on the cargo contents of two aircraft—AirMed Flight N823AM and a Cavok Air Antonov An-12 B. Rev. Fordjour had suggested that these planes may have been used to smuggle cocaine and large sums of cash into the country.

Following these allegations, Rev. Fordjour was invited by the authorities to assist in investigations into the matter.

Additionally, President John Dramani Mahama ordered a full-scale probe into the claims to ensure transparency.

However, Minister Kwakye Ofosu dismissed the allegations as baseless and a deliberate attempt to undermine public trust in government operations.

He described Rev. Fordjour’s actions as irresponsible and lacking credible evidence.

Minister Kwakye Ofosu urged the public to disregard such unfounded claims and assured that the government remains committed to ensuring the integrity of airport operations and national security.
