The first National Tracking Poll of 2025, conducted by Global InfoAnalytics, has revealed that the Ghana Police Service and the Immigration Service are perceived as the most corrupt institutions in the country.

According to the survey, which assessed corruption across various sectors, the Police ranked highest with a corruption score of 6.43, while the Immigration Service followed closely with a score of 5.86.

Disclosing the findings, Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director and Head of Research at Global InfoAnalytics, highlighted growing public concerns about corruption within these institutions.

The Judiciary was ranked third, with a score of 5.78, reflecting apprehensions about integrity within the legal system.

Tax officials from the Ghana Revenue Authority scored 5.68, while local government representatives and business executives both scored 5.63, placing them among the most corrupt entities according to public perception.

Other institutions perceived as moderately corrupt included the Electoral Commission (5.58), traditional leaders (5.51), and Parliament (5.47).

The Prison Service (5.43), Military (5.27), and the Presidency (5.27) were also scrutinized, though their scores were comparatively lower.

Interestingly, ministers and government officials received the lowest corruption perception score of 4.61, indicating that the public views them as relatively less corrupt compared to other institutions.

The survey results have sparked discussions about the need for institutional reforms and heightened accountability to address corruption concerns across the country.

Mr Dankwa made these disclosures while speaking on The Point of View on Channel One TV on Wednesday, April 2.
