Maame Ama Pratt appointed Press Secretary to Prof Opoku-Agyemang
The daughter of veteran journalist and social commentator Kwesi Pratt, Maame Ama Pratt, has been appointed Press Secretary to Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
The appointment was announced in a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a Presidential Staffer.
Mame Ama Pratt, who is also a television show host, will now serve as the official spokesperson for the Vice President.
Maame Ama Pratt is also married to the running mate of Mr Alan Kyerematen in the 2024 general elections, Mr Kwame Owusu Danso.
She was appointed alongside several other key officials in the Vice President’s office, including:
Alex Percival Segbefia – Chief of Staff to the Vice President Mrs. Alberta Graham – Head of Administration Prof. Theresah Ennin – Presidential Staffer and Aide Ms. Daniella Mavis Mathias – Secretary to the Vice President
Additionally, several policy advisors have been named to support the Vice President's agenda:
Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo – Political Policy Advisor Prof. Sharif Mahmud Khalid – Economic Policy Advisor Dr. Hamza Zakaria – Economist Ms. Mansa Amoa–Awuah – Finance Expert Dr. Mariam Rashinatu Iddrisu – Social Sector Policy Advisor
These appointments form part of the Mahama administration’s effort to strengthen governance and ensure effective policy implementation under the leadership of Vice President Opoku-Agyemang.
