Madina MP appointed Ranking Member of Private Member's Bill Committee

In a significant reshuffle of parliamentary roles, Francis-Xavier Sosu, the Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, has been appointed as the Ranking Member of the Private Member's Bill Committee and as a Member of both the Human Rights and Judiciary Committees.
This development follows the recent adoption of new Standing Orders by the Parliament of Ghana, necessitating revisions in committee compositions.
Francis-Xavier Sosu, renowned for his legal acumen and advocacy in human rights, has notably spearheaded 17 Private Member's Bills since taking office.
His efforts have resulted in the successful passage of three bills by the House, with one having received Presidential assent.
Prior to his new appointments, Sosu served diligently as a member of the Appointments Committee and as the deputy Ranking Member of the Constitutional, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs Committee.
His longstanding commitment to human rights and legal reforms resonates deeply with his constituents and stakeholders across the nation.
Sosu expressed gratitude for the new responsibilities, reaffirming his commitment to championing legislative initiatives that uphold fundamental rights and liberties.
His tenure on the Judiciary and Human Rights Committees is anticipated to enrich parliamentary discourse on crucial legal and social issues affecting Ghanaians.
