John Dramani Mahama, flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has responded to his New Patriotic Party (NPP) opponent, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, accusing him of evading crucial questions about his record as Vice President.

Speaking at a mini-rally in Savelugu, Mr Mahama noted that he had posed five straightforward questions to Dr. Bawumia regarding the country's economic state and his performance in office.

However, rather than answering directly, Mahama claimed, Dr Bawumia countered with 50 questions of his own.

Yesterday, Dr Bawumia responded to Mahama’s inquiries, challenging him to engage in a direct debate instead of, as he put it, “relying on flimsy questions.”

In response, Mahama remarked that a debate was unnecessary for Bawumia to address the core issues he raised.

According to Mahama, Bawumia’s lengthy response seemed to sidestep the pressing economic concerns that were central to his questions.

Mahama reiterated that Bawumia should directly address his record on the economy, without needing a debate, to clarify his position to Ghanaians.
