Interior Minister swears in Auctioneers Registration Board

The Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarik, has officially sworn in members of the newly constituted Auctioneers Registration Board, marking a major milestone in the regulation and professionalisation of Ghana’s auctioneering industry.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister underscored the pivotal role the Board will play in bringing order and credibility to the sector.
He stressed that the Board is tasked with ensuring that only qualified, ethical, and law-abiding individuals are licensed to operate as auctioneers in Ghana.
“This Board must operate with transparency, professionalism, and a deep commitment to the public interest,” the Minister said. He congratulated the members on their appointment and expressed confidence in their ability to uphold the integrity and high standards the profession demands.
Mr Mubarik further urged the Board to discharge its duties with independence and fairness, and to remain resolute in resisting any form of undue influence.
“You must enforce the law with purpose and integrity, and ensure that your actions inspire public trust,” he added.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board, Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, pledged the Board’s commitment to working closely with stakeholders to promote best practices in the industry.
He reaffirmed the Board's dedication to fostering a culture of transparency and professionalism in auctioneering across the country.
