Parliament hosts Eswatini delegation to strengthen inter-parliamentary ties

The Parliament of Ghana hosted a high-level delegation from the Kingdom of Eswatini, led by the Speaker of its House of Assembly, Jabulani Mabuza, as part of a benchmarking visit aimed at deepening inter-parliamentary collaboration and knowledge-sharing between the two nations.
The delegation was warmly received by the Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin underscored the shared values that unite the two countries in their democratic journeys.
“Though our nations may differ in size and constitutional development, our parliaments are united by a common responsibility — to serve the people, uphold transparency, and protect national interests,” Speaker Bagbin remarked.
The Eswatini delegation is in Ghana to study the operations and best practices of Ghana’s Parliamentary Service Board, with particular interest in institutional development, legislative processes, and administrative efficiency.
The visit is also expected to foster greater cooperation between the two legislatures in areas such as capacity-building, legislative reform, and coordinated advocacy on regional and international platforms.
Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening democratic governance and promoting Africa’s collective voice in global affairs.
