Mahama punches Bawumia for running away from economy, urges Ghanaians to vote for integrity
Mr John Dramani Mahama, the Presidential Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has posed five crucial questions on the economy for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking at a mini-rally in Tatale, Northern Region, as part of his “Resetting Ghana” campaign tour, Mr. Mahama recalled that Dr. Bawumia had once presented 170 questions to then-Vice President Amissah Arthur regarding the economy.
He criticized Dr. Bawumia for now "running away from economic issues" and urged him to address the pressing economic challenges facing the country.
In Saboba,Mr Mahama encouraged Ghanaians to reconsider their support for President Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia, stating that they had failed to uphold their promises to safeguard the public purse.
"They promised to protect the public purse, but today, the majority of Ghanaians have fallen below the poverty line," he said.
Mr Mahama called on voters to choose "honesty and truth" in the upcoming elections, stressing the need for leadership that can restore trust and prioritize the welfare of Ghanaians.
