Manhyia: NPP presents Candidate Bawumia to Otumfuo

At a cultural ceremony held at the Manhyia Palace during the Akwasidaekese celebrations in the Ashanti Region, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership officially presented its newly-elected presidential candidate to Asante monarch Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The event unfolded as part of the Akwasidaekese festivities.
The ceremonial introduction was led by the National Chairman of the NPP, Mr Steven Ayesu Ntim, accompanied by key party figures including the General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong; the National Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B); and the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Wontumi).
Together, they formally introduced and unveiled Dr Mahamadu Bawumia as the NPP's newly-elected presidential candidate.
Expressing gratitude, the NPP leaders extended their thanks to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for his support and guidance.
The party leadership acknowledged the support received from Otumfuo and the entire Asanteman community.
This significant occasion marked a symbolic gesture of unity and collaboration between the NPP and the Asante kingdom, reinforcing the longstanding bond between the political party and the cultural heritage of the region.
The event, according to the National Organiser of the NPP, Henry Nana Boakye, showcased the NPP's commitment to honouring tradition and seeking the blessings of the traditional leader as it prepares for the upcoming political endeavours with Dr Mahamadu Bawumia at the forefront as its presidential candidate.
