NDC loses MP in Parliament
The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Mahama Naser Toure, has died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness.
Mr Toure, a four-term legislator, was an experienced parliamentarian who played an active role in the House.
He served as Vice Chairman of the Energy Committee and was a member of the Roads and Transport Committee, House Committee, and the Private Members’ Bills and Motions Committee.
Confirming his passing, the Second Deputy Majority Whip, Richard Acheampong, said the late MP was laid to rest later today in line with Islamic customs.
The burial is expected to take place at his residence in Nima, Accra.
Tributes have begun pouring in from colleagues and constituents, who describe Mr Toure as a dedicated public servant committed to the development of Ayawaso East and national progress.
