NPP primary: Bryan Acheampong declares readiness to lead NPP into 2028 elections

Former Minister for Food and Agriculture and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has called on members of the party to close ranks and rally behind a single united front as the NPP prepares for the 2028 general elections.
Speaking during an engagement with party faithful in the Akuapem North constituency on 16th October 2025, Dr. Acheampong emphasised the need for unity and collective purpose, urging supporters to move beyond internal divisions.
“You know, we all know I can deliver, and I can unite our people. There should not be camps in our party; there must be only one camp — the NPP camp,” he declared to loud applause.
Dr. Acheampong, a leading figure in Parliament, underscored that the strength of the NPP lies in its solidarity and commitment to its founding principles of development, freedom, and service to the nation.
He assured members of his readiness to lead a rejuvenated and disciplined party capable of winning back the confidence of Ghanaians.
Party executives and grassroots supporters in Akuapem North hailed his message as timely, noting that internal cohesion will be key to the NPP’s efforts to recapture power in 2028.
Dr. Acheampong’s visit forms part of a broader series of regional engagements aimed at strengthening party structures and inspiring unity among the rank and file across the country.
