NPP primary: Bryan Acheampong storms Ashanti Region

A former Minister for Food and Agriculture and leading New Patriotic Party (NPP) figure, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has arrived in the Ashanti Region to continue his nationwide constituency tour aimed at strengthening party structures and reconnecting with grassroots supporters.
According to a statement from his Communications Directorate, the visit marks the next phase of Dr. Acheampong’s extensive tour, which has so far covered over 76 constituencies across Ghana, including nine in the Ashanti Region.
The tour, which has been described as a movement to unify the party, focuses on grassroots empowerment, discipline, and internal cohesion.
Party members and observers have noted growing enthusiasm and renewed confidence among supporters as Dr. Acheampong’s message continues to resonate nationwide.
The Ashanti Region—widely considered the political stronghold of the NPP—will host Dr. Acheampong for 10 days, during which he is expected to visit remaining constituencies and engage directly with stakeholders.
The itinerary includes:
Town Hall Meetings with youth and community leaders;
Stakeholder Dialogues with traditional rulers, clergy, and party executives; and
Media Engagements to articulate his vision and rally support for party unity.
The Communications Directorate emphasised that the ongoing tour is part of a broader agenda to reinvigorate the party base and position the NPP for victory in the 2028 general elections.
“Dr. Acheampong’s bold, decisive, and inclusive leadership style is winning hearts and strengthening the party’s foundation,” the statement said.
The public, party faithful, and media organisations have been encouraged to follow the tour’s progress through updates shared on Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s official social media platforms and campaign pages.
