Nkrumah’s son submits forms to contest CPP flagbearership race

Dr Onzy Nathan Kwame Nkrumah, son of the first President of Ghana, Dr Kwame Nkrumah has submitted his nomination forms to contest the flagbearership slot of the Convention People’s Party (CPP).

Dr Nkrumah, who is the Vice Chairman of the CPP also assured the party of his willingness to work towards bringing the party back into government.

Submitting his nomination forms to party executives on Monday, 29 May 2023, the flagbearer hopeful further indicated his preparedness to work with every Ghanaian.

“I am again prepared to work tirelessly with every Ghanaian and serve the people with all humility,” the flagbearer aspirant stated.

According to Dr Nkrumah, the decision to lead the party was born out of calls from people abroad and in Ghana on him to rescue Ghanaians from their current economic hardship under the Akufo-Addo-led government.

The flagbearer aspirant hopes to bring to Parliament Parliamentarians from the CPP.

He explained that: “It is my aim to bring CPP to the Flagstaff House and to also see more CPP parliamentarians. The future is very promising for Ghana. My only motivation is to see CPP come to power. 

“Nkrumah’s spirit is a selfless spirit and it accommodates every person, it is my intention to see CPP come back to power,” Dr Nkrumah noted.
