President Mahama hosts farewell meeting for outgoing Palestinian Ambassador
On behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, a farewell meeting has been held for the outgoing Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Ghana, His Excellency Abdulfatah Ahmed Khalifa Al Sattari, marking the end of his diplomatic mission in the country.
The meeting, which took place in Accra, was attended by the Palestinian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Her Excellency Varsen Aghabekian, and Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. James Gyakye Quayson.
Ambassador Al Sattari brings to a close eleven years of diplomatic service in Ghana, during which he worked to strengthen bilateral relations between Ghana and the State of Palestine.
Vice President Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang commended him for the consistency, dedication, and warmth with which he discharged his duties, noting the positive impact of his engagement with government institutions and the Ghanaian public.
Speaking at the meeting, Ghana expressed appreciation for the ambassador’s contribution to deepening mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries and acknowledged his role in fostering enduring diplomatic ties.
The government of Ghana extended its gratitude to Ambassador Al Sattari for his years of service and wished him well in his future endeavours, expressing confidence that the bonds he helped to build between Ghana and Palestine will continue to grow beyond his tenure.
