President declares 3-day mourning in honour of late former First Lady
President John Dramani Mahama has declared a three-day national day of mourning in honour of the late former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.
The mourning period will be observed from Friday, October 24, 2025, to Sunday, October 26, 2025, throughout the country.
According to the presidential declaration issued on October 24, 2025, at Jubilee House and signed by the President himself, all National Flags will be flown at half-mast at public buildings, institutions, diplomatic missions, and government establishments across Ghana and abroad during this period.
The declaration highlights late Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings's dedication to serving Ghana, particularly in championing causes related to women's empowerment, child welfare, and social justice.
Citizens are encouraged to reflect on her life of selfless service and unwavering advocacy for women and children.
The Government of Ghana extends its deepest condolences to the family, children, and all mourning the loss of the former First Lady.
The declaration concludes by expressing the nation's gratitude to the late Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings' exceptional contribution to Ghana's development and democratic journey, wishing her noble soul rest in perfect peace.
