Ransford Delali Kasu declares bid for Volta NDC deputy secretary
Ransford Delali Kasu has formally declared his intention to contest the position of Volta Regional Deputy Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), citing years of dedicated service and experience within the party as his motivation to seek higher responsibility.
Announcing his decision on Ho 92.5 fm Adanu Morning Show with Togbe Ahorgo I, Mr Kasu said his interest follows a careful self-assessment of his contributions to the party over the years.
He has served in several key roles, including deputy constituency communications officer, a member of the election directorate, and as part of the party’s regional communications team.
According to him, these roles have equipped him with the administrative and organisational skills required to effectively serve the party at the regional level.
Mr Kasu noted that as deputy regional secretary, he intends to support the Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, as well as all Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCs) in the region.
He emphasised that a strong and well-coordinated regional executive committee is critical to advancing the NDC’s development agenda in the Volta Region.
He further stressed his commitment to helping realise the “reset agenda” of President John Dramani Mahama at the regional level.
According to Mr Kasu, effective party administration and grassroots engagement will be key to positioning the NDC as a disciplined, attractive, and people-centered party.
Highlighting his relatively young age as an advantage, Mr Kasu said he is well-positioned to connect with the youth, who form a significant portion of the party’s support base. He expressed confidence that engaging young party members more effectively would contribute to development in the region and secure electoral victories for the NDC in 2028 and beyond.
Touching on the party’s internal electoral roadmap, Mr Kasu explained that the process will begin with branch and constituency elections.
In the meantime, he has commenced personal consultations with key stakeholders across the region, while also using various platforms to make his intentions known, assuring party members of his readiness to serve when the time comes.
