Sit up and ensure fairness in upcoming elections-Dormahene to EC

The Dormahene, Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II, has issued a stern warning to the Electoral Commission (EC) to maintain fairness in this year's elections, highlighting the seriousness of threats by the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), not to resort to court action.
Speaking during a courtesy call by the NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, to the Bono Regional House of Chiefs as part of his regional tour on its second day, Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II expressed concerns about the current operations of the EC.
He urged the Commission to "sit up" and ensure credibility in the electoral process.
The Dormahene also called on the security agencies to be vigilant and avoid a repeat of the incidents that marred the 2020 general elections.
"The threats by the NDC of not going to court must not be taken lightly," he cautioned, underscoring the need for all stakeholders to ensure a free and fair election.
