The only way NPP has outperformed NDC in gov’t, is the high levels of stealing and cronyism –Joyce Bawah
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) spokesperson, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, has criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP), asserting that the only area in which the governing New Patriotic Party(NPP) has outperformed the NDC is in the misuse and dissipation of state resources.
This government has only outperformed the NDC with its high levels of stealing and cronyism, he said
According to her, under President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the scale of alleged corruption is unprecedented in the history of the Fourth Republic.
Speaking on the Ghana Yensom morning show on Accra 100.5 FM co-hosted by Kaayire Kwesi Apea-Apreku and Odhyeeba Kofi Essuman on Monday, November 18, 2024, Madam Mogtari remarked, "If there’s one area the NPP has outdone the NDC, it is in the blatant misuse of public funds.”
She went on to describe the alleged acts of “naked thievery” by some appointees in the NPP government as unparalleled and emphasized that such activities could not have been overlooked if former President John Dramani Mahama were in office.
Madam Mogtari added that it was time to call out the government for the alleged "ills" committed against Ghanaians, stating, "We have overindulged the NPP for far too long."
She expressed disbelief that the current administration had recently acquired 150 brand-new Sports Utility Vehicles, despite the country's ongoing economic challenges.
