WN/R: You are a nation wrecker if you live in Aowin and continue to vote for NDC – Napo
Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on the people of Aowin in the Western North Region to abandon their support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), describing a vote for the opposition as a “betrayal” of the region’s development needs.
Speaking to a crowd of NPP supporters at a rally in Yakaase, Dr. Prempeh argued that the NDC has consistently neglected the region, despite the loyalty of voters in previous elections.
According to Dr. Prempeh, the NPP is the party genuinely committed to advancing the interests of Aowin, pointing out that all key development initiatives in the area, such as healthcare facilities and infrastructure improvements, have been implemented under the NPP’s leadership.
"Every significant intervention in Aowin has come from the NPP," he remarked, highlighting the contributions of party stalwarts like Gyato Kalio, Dankwa, Dombo, Baffour Akoto, and Busia, who have historically championed development projects for the area.
Dr. Prempeh also reminded residents of how the NDC has continuously failed to prioritize the region’s development since 1992, despite their votes.
“The people of Enchi and Aowin have shown loyalty to the NDC, yet they are consistently denied meaningful progress,” he noted, adding that the NPP, by contrast, has demonstrated an inclusive approach to governance, supporting all communities without discrimination.
As the election approaches, he urged Aowin constituents to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, whom he described as a transformative leader who would implement policies to further Ghana’s development.
He assured voters that a vote for the NPP would drive forward the economic and social growth of the region, an outcome he argued the NDC has repeatedly failed to deliver.
