Bank of Ghana’s Second Deputy Governor commended for insightful address at MOBEX Africa 2025
The Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Mrs. Matilda Asante Asiedu, has been commended by organisers of MOBEX Africa 2025 for delivering an exceptional keynote address at the opening ceremony of this year’s conference.
In a statement of appreciation signed by George Spencer Quaye, Board Chairman of the DVLA and Chief Executive Officer of MOBEX Africa, the organisers expressed their deep gratitude to Mrs. Asiedu for her “highly insightful reflections” on the intersection of monetary policy, digital finance, and technological innovation.
According to the statement, Mrs. Asiedu’s keynote provided a compelling framework for understanding the future of Ghana’s digital economy, emphasising the balance between financial stability, innovation, and inclusion in an era of rapid technological advancement.
“Your address offered both depth and direction, inspiring stakeholders to embrace innovation while safeguarding financial stability and promoting inclusion,” the statement read.
The MOBEX Africa team also lauded the Bank of Ghana’s continued support for initiatives that foster digital transformation and strengthen the continent’s technology ecosystem.
“We are profoundly grateful for your time, thought leadership, and the Bank of Ghana’s commitment to advancing digital innovation across Ghana and Africa,” Mr. Quaye noted.
MOBEX Africa 2025, currently underway in Accra, has brought together policymakers, innovators, and industry leaders to explore strategies for accelerating Africa’s digital transformation and economic resilience.
