GFZA CEO leads delegation to ICPS as company marks 20th anniversary

As part of activities commemorating the 20th anniversary of Intelligent Card Production Systems (ICPS), a subsidiary of the Margins Group, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr Mary Awusi led a delegation to visit the company’s state-of-the-art facility located at Spintex in the Greater Accra Region.
Accompanied by the Authority’s Deputy CEO for Finance and Administration, Mr. Musah Sibiri Hamidu, the visit underscored GFZA’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with licensed Free Zones enterprises and supporting their growth and innovation.
ICPS, a fully Ghanaian-owned Free Zones Enterprise, has over the years carved a niche for itself as a leading provider of secure technology solutions.
During the visit, the GFZA delegation was warmly welcomed by ICPS’s management and taken on a guided tour of the facility.
The delegation was impressed by the high-level technology and stringent security systems in place, including biometric integrations, smart card personalisation, and other cutting-edge processes that underscore ICPS’s capacity to compete both locally and internationally.
Speaking during the visit, the GFZA CEO commended the ICPS team for their consistent pursuit of excellence and innovation.
He noted that the company’s operations align with Ghana’s Resetting Agenda and the government’s 24-Hour Economy Policy, which seeks to boost productivity, job creation, and economic growth.
“ICPS is a shining example of what Ghanaian innovation can achieve.
Their technological capabilities are not only transforming secure identification systems in Ghana but are also positioning the company as a continental player,” the CEO said.
He further assured ICPS of the Authority’s continued support in scaling up operations, expanding into new markets, and contributing significantly to national development.
As ICPS celebrates two decades of groundbreaking service, stakeholders are confident the company is poised for even greater impact across Africa and beyond, with the Ghana Free Zones Authority standing firmly behind it.
